PUBG update #12 will be on the test servers for awhile
PUBG Corp has announced the details of update #12 for their popular PlayerUnknows’s Battlegrounds game on the PC. This PUBG update adds map selection, weapon balance tweaks, bug fixes and Miramar improvements. This update is huge and will be on the test servers a little longer than usual. PUBG Corp said “Weapon balance in particular is really important for us, and we want to take the time to get it right.”.
The new weapon is the SLR and uses a 7.62mm ammo. The SLR has a 10 round magazine that can be extended to hold 20 rounds. This gun will spawn with normal world loot and is more powerful than the SKS. The developer says that this gun does have recoil and controlling this recoil will be key for it being effective.
The new vehicle being added with this update is the Mirado. The four door (four seater) muscle car will only be available in the Miramar map. This car will be the fastest vehicle in the map and can be found in the downtown area.
You will now be able to change the reticle design and color on your sights and scopes. There has been an assortment of grips and scopes added this update as well. Most notable is a rare world drop item which is a 6x scope. This scope will be variable from 3x to 6x magnification.
Map selection is finally here
Map selection is definitely a welcomed option to this game. The’ve reduced the maximum time you can be underwater from 35 to 15 seconds. Once you’re out of breath you will take 10 damage per second until you resurface. For the full list of update items check out the games website here.
