PUBG’s New Underground Cave Map Codename: Savage

Real life inspiration from Phraya Nakhon Cave

Insanely popular game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds by PUBG Corporation is currently working on a new underground cave map. This smaller 4×4 map is based off an underground cave system that is located outside of Bangkok, Thailand. The size of the map is quit smaller than the 8×8 maps that are currently in PUBG. They shared this rendered image on an online post to give us an idea of what this could look like in the game. PUBG’s new underground cave map looks to add something completely different than we’ve experienced thus far in the world of PUBG.

The Map Will Evolve As We Battle It Out

The team announced that this map will be open development . An open development map means that as we rack up kills they will be fine tuning it every step of the way to provide us with a better gaming experience. New vehicles and weapons are said to be added as they develop this cave map further. The inspiration for this map is the Phraya Nakhon Cave which actually has a gold temple located inside in the real life version–pretty cool, huh? This smaller map should add a faster pace game, which should force people to play this one a little different form previous maps. For me personally it means I better step up my game because a smaller area to fight in means I’ll probably be dead that much sooner.

From the above photo that they shared you can see the layout of this map. You will be able to skydive right in and unleash your PUBG fury or you PUBG anger depending on your skill level. The image shows three exits with a pool in the center of the map–underground of course.

I’m sure there are going to be plenty of people willing to play this new map as it rolls out. The game has sold over 30 million copies across the PC and Xbox platforms.  No pressure to hit a home run on this new addition or anything guys.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be a free play title this weekend.
